The Sea Hawk No Longer Adrift By B. F. Sepulveda (New York) I truly enjoyed this book. the characters are strong, intelligent, beautiful women who we're not afraid to love. The growing attraction between Julia and Simone, though similar to other stories, was unique in its own way, (I especially liked the light banter) and kept me cheering them on despite Esperanza’s attempts to interfere. As I continued to be engrossed with the story I couldn't help but wonder, "Who will they get to play Simone?" This is one story I would love to see come to life on screen. The Sea Hawk I Loved This Book By A. Wilkinson A little choppy at first, but it really grabbed me and refused to let go. Majorly plot over smut with several sexual encounters sprinkled throughout the book which were tastefully executed. I easily lost myself in the story and had a hard time putting this book down, a must have for any lesbian romance collection. |

Praise for older women and their lives By AJ (So Cal): Finally, a book for us old broads [Pipeline]! I own a lot of lesbian books, and I can count on one hand those that have central characters over 50. A great story about older women who have a lifetime of experience whether good or bad (it all makes us stronger), Jo Carlisle is a retired photojournalist who by using her investigative skills proves to be a good detective. Add to the story a beautiful ex-lover/partner who Jo never stopped loving, and it makes entertaining reading. I hope Jo and Cate become a series. |

Life's Lessons By Ann Fallon (East Coast): Reiko's Garden is one of the finest books I have read in several years. The author's choice of the characters exemplifies what our world is today. The story is one that everyone can identify with on a personal level. Ms Adcock's writing skills brings each character to life, weaving each personality within the story so that you actually feel you know the person. The book will remain on my bookshelf. I look forward to future works by this fine writer. |
